• School History

          • After two decades of having one government secondary school on the island of Providenciales, the Government took the decision to build Louise Garland Thomas High School-LGTHS.

            This school addressed the demand for additional secondary school spaces. Long Bay High School was officially opened and welcomed its first cohort of students on September 7, 2015.  The official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new facility took place on November 26, 2015 and the keys were handed over to the first Principal, Mr. Carlton Mills. On January 4, 2016 formal classes were officially held at the new facility, the Long Bay High School. LGTHS is a new institution and over the last two years it has been involved in several activities in culture, sports, visual and performing arts.
